2013 - All good things come to an end...
I’m sorry to tell you but my Ever Present status for the London Marathon has come to an end. I have been unwell since my last run on 17 March and have not run a step since; can just about walk to the local shops. I’m receiving treatment (albeit with little effect). The Doctors and my family have advised me that it would be foolish to even attempt the event. All being well I hope to be at the registration on Thursday and at the photo call on Sunday, my last as an EP. My intention, at the moment, is to attempt to start the race, do one hundred yards and then drop out. I feel I would rather be a DNFer than a DNSer! Only you will understand why.
So, thirty two London's and carried the Olympic torch not too bad for an old man to bow out on and, as I said at the beginning, all good things come to an end... Thank you all for your support over the years especially my family and Terri.
